About the Community Builder Awards
The Community Builder Awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to building community in Utah. The celebration, held this year on October 20, is an opportunity to recognize the sung and unsung heroes in our society—people who strengthen Utah by learning how to work together more effectively for the common good.

Linda Hilton, Coalition of Religious Communities
Linda Hilton works for the Crossroads Urban Center and is the Chair of the Coalition of Religious Communities, where she helps bring individuals from diverse faith backgrounds together to advocate for low income and homeless people. Linda is a champion for issues people can agree on and work toward, making her a powerful spokesperson for those who may not have a voice.

Elaine M. Pace, Girl Scouts of Utah
Elaine M. Pace’s breadth of leadership is inspiring. Using personal experience, Elaine has dedicated her life’s work to further important issues, particularly for girls and women. Elaine works with a variety of organizations to make it easier for females to step across barriers, including class and race.

The Utah Society for Environmental Education
The Utah Society for Environmental Education (USEE) has been active in the Utah community for 28 years, providing statewide leadership to expand the quality, scope and effectiveness of environmental education. The organization’s vision is to cultivate ecological knowledge by building environmental consciousness that ensure economic, social and environmental sustainability for Utah.
